It was 1822 when a series of curious events shaked the life of the fishermen’s village of San Terenzo, whose people were not used to the parties and libertine outings brought on by the young and rich English group who had taken over Villa Magni: the Shelleys, Mary (Frankenstein’s author) and her husband Percy, had moved in with a very much lively group of friends.
It is said to have been an unforgettable season and when Lord Byron moored his boat into the bay and cheered his friends with six cannon shots, the locals – but they were not the only ones – talked about it for the years to come. The enchantment of the Golfo dei Poeti – the Gulf of Poets – is still very much alive today and is revived into every visitor’s eye with its unique colors and landscapes.
Today it is possible to experience it riding an e-bike with Trame di Lunigiana’s bike tour: from the fishermen’s village of San Terenzo to the Blue Venus’ Beach, from the narrow streets of Lerici to its Castle which dominates one of the most beautiful and beloved coves of the Eastern Riviera once sought after by the powers of Pisa, Genova and Firenze.
Ride and rhyme! live the italian poetry by e-bike.
What is an e-bike?
An electric bicycle, also known as an e-bike or booster bike, is a bicycle with an integrated electric motor which can be used for propulsion. Easier to ride, it allows everybody to join the tour comfortably. Read more about the e-bike on wikipedia.
Can kids join the tour?

The itinerary is not strenuous but please note that a sporty outfit is required. Bike-specific clothing makes for a comfortable ride though; anyhow, wear comfortable and suitable shoes (no open toes, slingbacks, flip flops etc).
Are helmets provided?
Absolutely! our prior concern is your safety!
What is your insurance policy?
A THIRD-PARTY insurance for civil liability is INCLUDED in the price of the tour. Please note that clients will be given the option to subscribe an additional insurance against vehicle damages.
